The foreign minister said Hungary’s foreign policy was Hungarian and sovereign, its sole purpose being the enforcement of Hungarian interests, often in the face of being outnumbered.
Hungary has been able to protect the health of the Hungarian people, relaunch its economy quickly, counter the pressure posed by migration and secure energy supplies.
Minister Szijjártó called Hungary’s foreign policy “balanced and patriotic”. Its aim, he added, was to draw tech investments into the country from the East, not only the West.
The foreign minister has revealed that Hungarian minorities across the borders is one of the most important aspects of Hungarian foreign policy and will not be “sacrificed for geopolitical games”.
The House Speaker said Hungarians are still the most populous people and Hungary the most populous country in the Carpathian Basin, with Hungarian being the most widely spoken language.
