The foreign minister said cooperation with Russia has produced “practical and pragmatic” results, despite a not too supportive international environment.
“Hungary has always been a popular destination for Russians, and the fact that vaccinated Russian tourists can visit Hungary again will help the sector immensely,” Minister Szijjártó said.
“Our aim now is to be the first [in the EU] to relaunch our economy," the foreign minister said.
Ambassador Cornstein said Hungary and the central European region “all of a sudden … became very, very attractive”.
The foreign minister said Hungary was buying 2 billion cubic meters of gas to fill storage facilities this summer and transports had already started.
