Márton Nagy said that in November, 233,609 people were on NFSz’s records as job seekers, “the fourth lowest figure ever”.
Sándor Bodó said the government had also been successful in saving jobs and creating new ones after the labor market took a significant hit from the pandemic.
The finance ministry noted that the Hungarian government had already provided aid to some 900,000 jobholders, by grants to help their positions on the labor market or training support.
Gergely Gulyás said Hungary’s economic protection scheme has been among the most successful in terms of the job market, with the unemployment rate showing a much better trajectory than in the European Union.
Minister Szijjártó said the Hungarian economy’s best chance of becoming successful is the work of its citizens and not international loans leading to vulnerable economies.
The prime minister said the Visegrad Group is concluding a “good year”, and has handled the coronavirus epidemic successfully.
