PM Orbán said the Hungarian community in Transcarpathia demonstrated once again the power of cooperation in the October 25 ballot.
The foreign minister has urged Hungarians living in Ukraine to turn out in large numbers at the country’s local elections, to ensure representation in local governments.
Csaba András Dézsi received 56.14 percent support based on all votes counted.
In less than three weeks, on October 13th, Hungarians will go to the polls to elect local representatives and mayors for a five-year term. While votes are cast locally, the results will shape the future of Hungary and the future of Europe.
“Ever since the first free elections held in 1990, all constitutional conditions have been in place for us to decide on our own fate and on the issues affecting our present and future," said President János Áder.
