The government is protecting pensioners and preserving the purchasing power of pensions.
The government continues to stand by Hungary’s pensioners, “they can count on the government just as before”, the finance minister said.
“We have preserved the value of pensions each year, and in good economic times, we even ensured a pension premium,” the prime minister said.
Including the 13th month pension, average pensions will grow by 352,560 forints this year.
In a video published on Facebook, PM Orbán said he had signed a government decree on the pension hike.
