5,040,222 people have so far been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Hungary. 3,196,604 have already received the second dose of the vaccine.
With 213 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Hungary, the number of total cases now stands at 802,723. Meanwhile, 41 more Hungarians succumbed to the virus yesterday and the number of those who have recovered grew to 675,082. The number of active coronavirus cases now stands at 98,019.
There are currently 1,373 people hospitalized with COVID-19, 148 of whom are on ventilators.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, 5,756,599 coronavirus tests have been performed in Hungary.
Now that Hungary has reached the 5 million vaccinated milestone, the curfew and obligatory mask-wearing outdoors will be abolished.
Restrictions on the business hours of shops and restaurants will be lifted.
Outdoor sports will be allowed, both individual and team.
Family events and weddings may be organized for up to 50 and 200 people, respectively. Family events, if held in a hotel or restaurant, must be in a separate area.
Indoor and music/dance events may only be attended with a certificate of immunity.
Outdoor events may be organized for up to 500 people.
Vaccinated 16–18-year-olds can visit indoor venues without an accompanying adult.
