Construction of the Hungary-Serbia railway will begin in November, it has been revealed.
Zorana Mihajlović, Serbia's deputy prime minister and minister of construction, transport and infrastructure, said the project will be completed in two-and-a-half years.
According to reports, the 350-kilometer railway will link Budapest with Belgrade. Trains will travel at over 200 kph and the journey time will be cut from 8 hours to just 2 and half.
The project came to fruition following a memorandum of understanding being signed between China, Hungary and Serbia in November 2013.
