Defense Minister: Hungarian army helicopters helping in Slovenia

Storms and heavy rains in recent days have caused massive floods and significant damage in Slovenia.

Hungary has stepped in to help Slovenia following storms and heavy rains in recent days which have caused massive floods and significant damage. Defense Minister Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky said that following cooperation talks with Marjan Šarec, his Slovenian counterpart, the Hungarian army would send helicopters to Slovenia to help rescue operations in the neighboring country. He said detailed military planning had already started. Neighboring countries can always rely on Hungary’s help, the minister said.
