Deputy PM: Hungary-Serbian cooperation in tourism has “enormous potential”

Speaking of the upcoming 2021 Hungarian expo, Deputy PM Semjén said that Hungary has invited over 150 countries to participate. The events will focus on “showcasing the great hunting and game farming culture of Hungary … and central Europe,” he said.

Deputy PM Zsolt Semjén made the remarks during a viit to the LORIST international fair for hunting, fishing, tourism and sports in Novi Sad (Újvidék), northern Serbia, on Thursday.

According to MTI, Hungary, a guest of honor at the event, is showing at two stands at the fair. A 50sqm stand at the hunting and fishing exhibition is meant to promote the 2021 World Hunting and Nature Expo, to be hosted by Budapest. The other, 200sqm stand is at the tourism exhibition, which opened on Thursday.

Speaking of the upcoming 2021 Hungarian expo, where Serbia will be a major guest, Deputy PM Semjén said that Hungary has invited over 150 countries to participate. The events will focus on “showcasing the great hunting and game farming culture of Hungary … and central Europe,” he said.

The expo will also feature related topics such as equestrian sports, archery, gastronomy shows and others, he said.

Zoltán Kovács, State Secretary for International Communication and Relations, the commissioner responsible for organizing the expo, noted that next to Budapest, the towns of Vásárosnameny, Hatvan, Gödöllő and Keszthely will host complementary events.
