Energy Ministry: Gas reserves in domestic storage facilities stand at 4.5 billion cubic meters

The energy ministry said Hungarian households used 3.4 billion cubic meters of gas during the whole year of 2022.

The energy ministry said on Wednesday that the amount of gas reserves in domestic storage facilities stands at 4.5 billion cubic meters, level with 44% of annual consumption. The ratio is well over the 24% EU average and is the fourth highest in the bloc, the ministry said on Facebook. The amount of state-protected strategic reserves stands at 1.9 billion cubic meters, the ministry said. Hungarian households used 3.4 billion cubic meters of gas during the whole year of 2022, it said.
