FM: Polish-Hungarian friendship will survive Polish foreign minister's 'machinations'

Minister Szijjártó said the "Hungarian-Polish brotherhood will survive all machinations by one of the most extreme pro-war Soros agents in Europe".

Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, said on Thursday that Polish-Hungarian friendship would survive the Polish foreign minister's "machinations".

In response to news reports suggesting that Polish counterpart Radoslaw Sikorski was planning to break diplomatic ties with Hungary, Minister Szijjártó told news portal Mandiner that the "Hungarian-Polish brotherhood will survive all machinations by one of the most extreme pro-war Soros agents in Europe".

Mandiner said the Polish foreign ministry had launched a diplomatic attack against Hungary. It cited a letter acquired by Polish news portal wPolityce.pl indicating that the Polish foreign ministry had proposed to members of the Polish-Hungarian Parliamentary Group the cancellation of planned meetings with the Hungarian ambassador in Warsaw, as well as the rejection of all invitations by the Hungarian embassy to events, including cultural events.
