Péter Szijjártó: Hungary does not support statements that will deepen the conflict

In his November 4 speech, on Russia's National Unity Day, Russian President, Vladimir Putin told the audience, that some countries, including Romania, Poland and Hungary, have still not given up their desire to annex Ukraine and recover previously annexed territories.

The Romanian Foreign Ministry rejected the allegations made by the Russian President stating that it “falsely implies that Romania has territorial claims against Ukraine” while Poland deemed Putin’s statement “rumors and fake news that are totally untrue”.

Hungary’s Foreign Minister stated that “we do not consider it right to make statements that deepen the war conflict” rather “an immediate ceasefire and peace negotiations” must be commenced between the nations involved in the conflict.
