Foreign Minister pledges Hungarian government's support to Keith Kellogg

Minister Szijjártó pledged the Hungarian government's support to Kellogg's work, adding that "we are ready for cooperation in every effort for peace."

Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, said on Facebook on Thursday that since the US presidential election, "decisions have been made continuously -- neglecting the will of the people -- to thwart Donald Trump's efforts to make peace in Ukraine."

Noting the growing risk of an escalation in the conflict, Minister Szijjártó said that "yesterday, at last, the global pro-peace majority and all those praying for peace in Ukraine received good news... Donald Trump announced that he will appoint Keith Kellogg as special envoy in the interest of a peaceful settlement in the Ukraine-Russia war."
