Foreign ministers of Hungary and Ukraine to meet in Uzhhorod on Jan 29

Minister Szijjártó said he hoped to touch on all the important issues in bilateral relations, especially that of the “curbed rights of the Hungarian minority and the long-term future of bilateral relations.”

Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, has confirmed that he will meet with the foreign minister of Ukraine in Uzhhorod (Ungvár) on Jan 29.

Minister Szijjártó said he talked with the head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, over the phone, and discussed with him the most important issues in the two countries’ bilateral ties. The Ukrainian foreign minister and Yermak will also be part of the delegation, Szijjártó said. Szijjártó said he hoped to touch on all the important issues in bilateral relations, especially that of the “curbed rights of the Hungarian minority and the long-term future of bilateral relations.”
