Foreigners without social insurance numbers can now register for vaccine

Resident foreigners and Hungarian citizens abroad will be entitled to an immunity card once vaccinated.

Foreign residents and Hungarian citizens living abroad without a social insurance number can now register for a coronavirus vaccine jab.

According to koronavirus.gov.hu, the Hungarian vaccination program is reaching a new stage. Now that 55 percent of the Hungarian population and 92 percent of registered citizens have been vaccinated, the government is allowing foreigners resident in Hungary and Hungarian citizens abroad to get the jab by registering at vaccinainfo.gov.hu. An English-language registration platform as well as an online appointment booking system are also available for foreigners living in Hungary. Sinopharm, Pfizer and a limited amount of Sputnik V vaccines are available.
