Government expects Hungary's economic growth to continue

Minister Varga said major resources are expected to be spent on energy-efficiency developments and businesses can participate in these as suppliers.

Finance Minister Mihály Varga said the government expects economic growth to continue in the next twelve to eighteen months, exceeding 4% in 2024, while state debt and government budget deficit will fall. Speaking at an event held by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Thursday, Minister Varga said major resources are expected to be spent on energy-efficiency developments and businesses can participate in these as suppliers. Among key elements of the economic policy of the coming period, Minister Varga listed family support policies, the continued reduction of the administrative burden and the focus on regional development aspects.
