The Hungarian government has allocated HUF 60 billion (EUR 170m) from European Union and local resources to revamp 17 Budapest hospitals to improve hygiene infrastructure in preparation of a potential second wave of the novel coronavirus epidemic.
According to MTI, the revamp will affect all hospital premises used by patients and will involve remodeling surfaces, installing automatic bathroom fittings and developing the general infrastructure.
Preliminary assessments have been carried out and the concrete tasks will be discussed with hospital directors in the next few days.
