Producers of “Virtuosos” confirm that the rights to the program have been acquired by New York and London-based production firms to produce UK and US versions of the show

A Hungarian talent show for classical musicians has been snapped up by production companies in the UK and US.

Producers of “Virtuosos” confirm that the rights to the program have been acquired by New York and London-based production firms to produce UK and US versions of the show.

In the United States, Fulwell 73, the firm that produces James Corden's late-night talk show and is partly owned by the television host, signed an agreement with the team behind "Virtuosos", led by founder Mariann Peller.

During Friday's signing ceremony in New York, reports said that opera singer Placido Domingo has now become a shareholder in “Virtuosos Holding Ltd.”, the holding company which owns the international rights to the show.

"Virtuosos" is extremely popular and successful in Hungary, where it is now in the fourth season.
