Hungary’s national football team put in a stunning performance to beat European silver medallists England 1-0 in the opening round of Division A of the UEFA Nations League at the Puskás Arena on Saturday.
Dominik Szoboszlai scored the winning goal from a penalty in the 66th minute. Hungary had previously beaten England at the 1962 World Cup, but since then they have lost 12 times, with three draws.
Marco Rossi’s side will host European champions Italy in Cesena in the second round of the Nations League on Tuesday.
