The Hungarian government has condemned the terrorist attack in Istanbul in the strongest possible terms.
According to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the security of the European Union begins with the stability of Turkey, and accordingly all attacks of this kind also constitute an attack against the European Union.
“We send our condolences to the grieving and wish the injured a speedy recovery; we also express our assurances to Turkey that Hungary is standing shoulder to shoulder with Turkey in the fight against terrorism," the statement read.
It is clear that the fight against terrorist organizations must be continued and that no differentiation should be made between them, the ministry added.
Two explosions rocked a football stadium in Istanbul on Saturday evening, followed by a mass shooting, killing at least 29 people and injuring 166.
