A conference was organized on Friday to mark the 20th anniversary of the OECD-GVH Regional Center for Competition (RCC), a joint venture in Budapest between the Hungarian Competition Authority (GVH) and the OECD.
Bence Gerlaki, the state secretary for tax affairs, consumer protection and commerce, said the RCC OECD-GVH supported competition authorities and strengthened the fair operation of markets through training and sharing know-how, contributing to the economic development of the region.
Csaba Balázs Rigó, the head of GVH, said RCC OECD-GVH had played a role of key importance in fostering cooperation between competition watchdogs in the region.
Top OECD officials as well as the head of France's competition authority participated at the conference.
RCC OECD-GVH has organized over 150 events involving around 5,400 experts since its establishment.
