Hungary's Norbert Michelisz has claimed his first World Touring Car Championship title of 2017 by winning the main race in Vila Real, Portugal.
Michelisz, driving on the Castrol Honda World Touring Car Team, managed to convert his pole position into winning form despite suffering with a poor stomach all week.
“This is just incredible,” Michelisz told Eurosport. “I must offer a huge thank you to the team because the car was brilliant. In some stages I was controlling the race, but then Thed was closing the gap, so I had to push.
“Since the Nürburgring I’ve been back on it. Expect an action packed rest of the season from my side," he added.
