Kocsis: High time Hungary set up independent force to control borders

The police and soldiers currently controlling the border would also be needed at the Ukraine-Hungary border.

In connection with an armed clash between migrant groups in Serbia on Saturday, Máté Kocsis, the group leader of ruling Fidesz, said that it is high time Hungary set up an independent force to control its borders. Kocsis said that the conflict, outside Subotica (Szabadka) had claimed lives. Kocsis noted that over 100,000 migrants had attempted to cross into Hungary illegally since the beginning of this year, and said that the police and soldiers currently controlling the border would also be needed at the Ukraine-Hungary border.
