KSH: Hungarian industrial output increased by an annual 2% in December

According to official figures, the output of the automotive industry grew by an annual 34.5%, albeit from a low base, and up from 23.7% in the previous month.

The Central Statistical Office (KSH) has confirmed that Hungarian industrial output increased by an annual 2% in December, up from 0.6% in November.

According to official figures, the output of the automotive industry grew by an annual 34.5%, albeit from a low base, and up from 23.7% in the previous month. The output of the computer, electronics and optical equipment segment dropped by an annual 8.1%. The output of the food, drinks and tobacco segment fell by 4.8%. Adjusted for the number of working days, of which there were two fewer in December than in the base period, output increased by 5.7%. For the full year, industrial output climbed by 5.8%. Month on month, output fell by 3.8% based on seasonally and working day-adjusted data.
