KSH: Average gross wage in Hungary rose 10.4% year-on-year in January

A total of 18,964 tourism accommodations hosted guests in February, including 16,925 private and other accommodations.
The number of employed reached 4,684,000 in January, up 32,000 from twelve months earlier.
Real wages rose 6.1pc, calculated with a December CPI of 4.6pc. The gross median wage increased 13.1pc to HUF 560,900.
KSH figures show that the number of guest nights spent by domestic travellers climbed 3.8pc to 1,282,000, while guest nights spent by foreign visitors increased 15.2pc to 1,559,000.
In absolute terms, there were 209,900 unemployed in August, 500 more than in July and 14,500 more than twelve months earlier.
The average gross wage in Hungary increased to 642,000 forints (EUR 1,630) in June. Net wages climbed at the same pace to 427,000 forints.
Net wages were up by 14.5% year on year, while real wages rose by an annual 10.4%.
The number of guest nights spent by domestic travellers increased by 13.6% to 1,021,000, and guest nights spent by foreign visitors climbed 23.9% to 1,173,000.
The employment rate for the 15-74 age group was 64.7% in February, up from 64.4% in January.
The average gross wage without benefits increased by 14.5%, to 540,200 forints.
Guest nights spent by foreign visitors rose by 13.3% to 1,761,000.
KSH said the average net wage including benefits rose by 15.1% to 383,500 forints.
