KSH: Hungary posted a trade surplus of 308 million euros in April

The Central Statistical Office found that exports rose by an annual 3.4%, while imports were down 4.0%.

In a first reading of data on Thursday, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said that Hungary posted a trade surplus of 308 million euros in April. Exports rose by an annual 3.4%, while imports were down 4.0%. Hungary’s trade balance improved by 836 million euros. In a month-on-month comparison, exports were down 19% and imports 16%. In absolute terms, exports came to 11.5 billion euros and imports to 11.2 billion. Trade with other European Union member states accounted for 78% of exports and 68% of imports.
