Magyar Idők has changed its name to Magyar Nemzet, it has been announced.
According to Rmx.news, Magyar Nemzet ("Hungarian Nation") first appeared on August 25th, 1938 founded by Sándor Pethő and in a symbolic gesture chose the same font as used in the Proclamation of the 1848 anti-Habsburg revolution.
"In this spirit, the paper has always stood on the side of the endangered national sovereignty and against war," the new site said in an editorial. "The paper, restarting for the third time, is again declaring its standing for conservative values, with an eye on European humanist culture, Central European traditions and national interests."
Attila Ballai, graduate of the Budapest Economics University, long-time sports journalist and recently communications director of the Hungarian Handball Federation, will become Editor-in-Chief of the newspaper.
