Mass migration is organzied, aggressive and illegal, according to György Bakondi, chief security advisor to the Prime Minister.
Bakondi said that people are afraid and feel insecure because of the terrorist attacks that have had bad social, political and economic effects. He stressed that the Islamic State – that has declared war on Europe – is behind the organized nature of illegal migration. Supporters of the terrorist organization’s ideology want to shatter the European Union, Bakond emphasized.
Since the introduction of the new regime, some 4,900 migrants have attempted to cross the border between Hungary and Serbia illegally. More than 3,100 attempts were prevented, and some 1,800 people were escorted back to the border fence, Bakondi explained.
Bakondi also noted that authorities know of some 3,900 migrants in the Serbian border region, who have already attempted to cross the border or are planning to do so, therefore the continued presence of Hungarian police and military officers is still needed.
