MEP: Left-wing bloc disregards written European rules

Tamás Deutsch has berated the left-wing bloc of the European Parliament for showing a “raw and blatant hunger for power” by excluding Patriots for Europe MEPs from EP committees.

Fidesz MEP Tamás Deutsch has berated the left-wing bloc of the European Parliament for showing a “raw and blatant hunger for power” by excluding Patriots for Europe MEPs from EP committees. The head of the Fidesz-Christian Democrat EP group accused the left-wing bloc of “disregarding written European rules”, and divvying up president and vice-president posts among themselves. Deutsch also accused the Hungarian opposition Tisza Party of “actively participating” in “stealing” the posts in the environmental protection committee that, he insisted, rightfully belonged to the Patriots for Europe group.
