More than half a million sign “Stop Gyurcsány! Stop Karácsony!” petition

The election next spring would decide whether or not the “Gyurcsány era of failure” would return.

István Hollik, Fidesz’s communications head, said more than half a million people have so far signed the ruling alliance’s “Stop Gyurcsány! Stop Karácsony!” petition ahead of next year’s general election.

“We launched the petition less than three weeks ago and have gathered the signatures of more than 500,000 people who clearly reject the left-wing political aggression represented by Ferenc Gyurcsány,” Hollik said. He added that rejection of the former government’s “failed policy of tax increases and pro-immigration policy” was widely rejected. He said the election next spring would decide whether or not the “Gyurcsány era of failure” would return.
