Naturtex investment creates new jobs at Szeged base

The government supported the investment with a HUF 1.4 billion grant in exchange for a pledge by the company to preserve 164 jobs and create 150 more.

Hungarian home textiles maker Naturtex has inaugurated a HUF 3.8 billion (EUR 10.4m) investment at its base in Szeged that will boost capacity by 40 percent.

Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, said the government supported the investment with a HUF 1.4 billion grant in exchange for a pledge by the company to preserve 164 jobs and create 150 more. Naturtex exports 85 percent of its output and has a presence in over 40 countries around the world. Naturtex had net revenue of HUF 7.5 billion last year, public records show.
