Navracsics: Resources Hungary used to fund schemes aided EU’s competitiveness

Hungary was expected to be ranked as one of the member states best at utilising EU funds in the 2014-2020 financial cycle.

Tibor Navracsics, the regional development minister, said on Tuesday that the resources Hungary used to fund schemes boosting environmental standards and energy efficiency, some 1,400 billion forints (EUR 3.7bn), have also aided the European Union’s competitiveness. Speaking at the closing event of the KEHOP operative program for environmental and energy development in Kecskemét, in central Hungary, Minister Navracsics said cooperation between the European Commission and the Hungarian government had been successful. He said Hungary was expected to be ranked as one of the member states best at utilising EU funds in the 2014-2020 financial cycle.
