Pintér holds talks with European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety

The Hungarian EU presidency would also serve to boost the security and welfare of EU citizens.

Sándor Pintér, Minister of the Interior, has held bilateral talks with the European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety Stella Kyriakides.

According to MTI, Hungary plans to focus on areas related to healthcare during its upcoming EU presidency which include the fight against cardiovascular diseases, strengthening supply security when it comes to organ transplantation, the affordability of medicine, preparation for potential future health emergencies, as well as treating the effects of climate change on mental health. Pintér and Kyriakides agreed that the program of the Hungarian presidency would also serve to boost the security and welfare of EU citizens. They also agreed to do everything necessary to ensure the success of Hungary’s EU presidency in the second half of the year.
