Prime Minister Viktor Orbán discussed economic and transport development plans with Péter Szarvas, the mayor of Békéscsaba (SE Hungary), on Tuesday.
According to MTI, the talks touched on the extension of the M44 expressway from Békéscsaba to the border with Romania as well as tasks related to the construction of a stretch of the M47 between Békéscsaba and Debrecen.
PM Orbán said an economic triangle could be established between Békéscsaba, Debrecen and Salonta, in Romania, with the development of the expressways.
Construction and Transportation Minister János Lázár participated in the talks.
PM Orbán visited Békéscsaba after inaugurating a stretch of the M44 between Szentkirály and the M5 motorway in the morning.
