PM Orbán sends letter to Bread of Hungarians charity program participants

The prime minister said he was glad Hungarian farmers were “doing everything for there to be bread on the table of Hungarian families”.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has sent a letter to those in the Bread of Hungarians charity program on the occasion of completing the collection of the grain necessary for this year’s bread to be distributed among “nearly 100,000 needy Hungarian children and families”. In his letter, read out by commissioner Zsolt Nyitrai at an event in Hajdunánás, in north-east Hungary, PM Orbán noted the historic drought affecting the country, as well as the war in Ukraine, which he said “caused prices to soar”. The prime minister said he was glad Hungarian farmers were “doing everything for there to be bread on the table of Hungarian families”.
