President János Áder said the international community should create a global water database with precise information on the quality of water supplies available around the world.
After attending the Meeting of the Water and Climate Coalition Leaders in Geneva on Tuesday, President Áder told a press conference that plans were to finalize the proposal for the creation of the database by 2023. The president said that without such a global database, it will be impossible to accurately and securely design the infrastructure of an increasingly urbanised world. The meeting hosted by the World Meteorological Organization was attended by Petteri Taalas, the organization’s secretary-general, among others.
