"Democracy is a system where tables turn. I have spent 16 years in opposition and 15 in government. I have never abandoned my party or our voters," PM Orbán said.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and his dedicated team have set up an English language website to keep those not so well versed in the Hungarian language on top of what's going on in the prime minister's office.

This personal website not only gives a run down of the prime minister's political life, but also his personal journey on the way to becoming prime minister of Hungary. "I have worked my way from a small Hungarian village to studying law in Oxford, later becoming leader of the opposition and head of government. While I believe that holding high positions is not a merit in itself, curiosity and readiness to learn from others is a must to achieve success in any field," PM Orbán said.

"Democracy is a system where tables turn. I have spent 16 years in opposition and 15 in government. I have never abandoned my party or our voters, nor have I traded politics for business opportunities. Defeats are there to learn from them and do better the next time around. After the defeat in 2002 we organized the largest civic network in the country and united center right voters like never before," the prime minister said.
