Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has congratulated Mateusz Morawiecki on becoming the new prime minister of Poland.
The prime minister wrote in his letter of congratulations that Hungary and Poland bear the joint responsibility of a thousand years for Europe’s peace, freedom and advancement.
“Please allow me to take this opportunity to congratulate you upon your appointment as Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland. I believe that with joint action and in close cooperation we may create new opportunities for our countries on the European scene which will also contribute to the success of Central Europe," PM Orbán wrote.
According to MTI, the prime minister noted he was pleased that on the occasion of the upcoming meeting of the European Council they would also have the possibility to discuss common tasks and challenges in person.
“I wish you every success with your responsible assignment as well as with the attainment of the goals of the Polish government under your leadership," the prime minister concluded.
