Prime Minister Viktor Orbán received several speakers from the V4 conference, “The Future of Europe,” in the Parliament building on Thursday.
British author and editor Douglas Murray, Stephen K. Bannon and Donald Trump’s former campaign chief and chief strategist, David P. Goldman all had private, informal discussions with the prime minister.
“The Future of Europe” conference turned out to be a great success emphasizing an outstanding cultural and scientific event of the 2017-2018 Hungarian Presidency of the V4.
One of the key speakers to meet with the prime minister was Stephen K. Bannon who made waves with his speech earlier this week.
Bannon said that Europeans have grown tired of being dictated to by people from Brussels, adding that PM Orbán had become ‘a world political figure,' and this is the reason why he had come under attack.
“Viktor Orbán’s victory and the scale of it -- and particularly that he was so far out there and up front saying this is to defend the Judeo-Christian west -- is looked at ... in America, England and the rest of western Europe as really a revolutionary moment,” he said.
“Orbán is now a world political figure and he is going to be under fierce assault,” Bannon added.
