“Studying the present and the past is key for the future,” President Katalin Novák said.

The president said Hungary’s efforts to help persecuted Christians worldwide have reached some one million people.
Czech President Milos Zeman will receive the Order of Merit of Hungary, Grand Cross with Chain.
The president said her position is clear-cut: in the present situation, the accession of Sweden and Finland is justified.
The war in Ukraine, demographic issues, and strengthening of defense were in focus at the talks.
The president said that once there is peace in Ukraine, the country should be given support in making it a “democratic and prosperous state”.
The president was received by the King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa, and both leaders were in agreement on the necessity of securing the swiftest possible peace in Ukraine.
President Novák called rescuers "heroes" and thanked them for “being there and helping after the tragedy, saving lives day and night”.
The president said a strategic agreement was signed to enable effective action against terrorism, while others aim to strengthen ties in several areas, including tourism, agriculture, water management and education.
“We are an independent, sovereign, grown-up nation with its own values and interests,” President Novák said.
The president said the integration of the Western Balkans was in the interest of all of Europe.
