Some 50 Hungarian athletes have competed so far, and many have set national records.
NAV staff are checking for compliance with rules on the issue of invoices and receipts and on employee registration.
A huge countdown board has been set up in central Erzsébet Square showing the number of days left until August 19, the start of the event.
“We are convinced that organizing such a major international competition could not only boost Hungary’s reputation, but also stimulate young people’s interest in sports,” said the 12 athletes lobbying to keep the event in Budapest.
