Annual wine festival returns to Budapest

Junibor Ünnep returns to Budapest for the fourth year with a selection of wine stands and food stalls

One of Budapest's largest wine festivals is taking place in the city between August 25 - 28, returning to Hungary for the fourth consecutive year.

Junibor Ünnep is an annual event held by DiVino, and showcases over 500 different wine labels each day.

The wine festival offers both connoisseurs and amateurs the opportunity to taste artisan Hungarian wines and local cuisine.

The Junibor Wine Festival will display 32 young winemakers from all over the country, including Takler András Regnum 2011, Jandl Arnold Merlot 2013, Gere Zsolt Villányi Franc 2011, Konyári Dániel Páva 2011, Wille-Baumkauff Stefán Pinot noir rosé 2014, Árvay Angelika Istenhegy 2014, Prácser Hajnalka és Miklós Zafír 2015, and many other exclusive vintages.

The main event takes place at Szent István tér – in front of the Basilica - and includes wine stands and food stalls.
