Csillaghegy Árpád Spring Spa opens in Budapest

A new wellness center comprising 12 pools has opened within the Csillaghegy open-air spa, which occupies a total area of over 7,800 square meters in northern Budapest’s 3rd district

Keeping up with Budapest’s tradition of spa capital of the world, a new wellness center has been inaugurated at Csillaghegy baths.

Budapest Mayor István Tarlós opened a new wellness center comprising 12 pools within the Csillaghegy open-air spa on Wednesday, which occupies a total area of over 7,800 square meters in northern Budapest’s 3rd district.

The Csillaghegy baths is one of Budapest’s oldest and largest spa complexes which has now become one of the most modern following refurbishment.

According to MTI, the new complex is part of a development scheme under which seasonal spas could remain open all year round.

The 3.9 billion HUF (12m EUR) development at the facility now named Csillaghegy Árpád Spring Spa has been paid for by the Budapest municipal council and its company Budapest Spas and Thermal Baths.
