Grapoila wins multiple stars at Great Taste Awards

Yet another Hungarian gastronomy award in a long line of successes.

 

At this year's Great Taste Awards, Grapoila nominated six products and won one star for its Cold Pressed Grape Seed Oil and secured two on other products; Organic Pumpkin Seed Flour, Sunflower Seed Flour, Cold Pressed Hazelnut Oil, Cold Pressed Organic Sunflower Seed Oil, Cold Pressed Mustard Seed Oil.

Grapoila is a 100% natural manufacturer of products such as flour, seeds, seed butters, organic oil and cosmetics. They use zero waste technology to recover any by-products that are produced during production so that nothing is wasted. Their goal is, “to produce cold-pressed oils with the highest possible quality” their products are natural, gluten free and organic.

Other Hungarian star winners at the Great Taste Awards included Ko-Duett’s vinegar products, Hodi’s paprika, and Tokaj Vicintas' Mangalica salami.

The Great Taste Awards, run by the Guild of Fine Food in the U.K., is “the world’s largest and most trusted food and drink awards.” Started in 1994 the awards aim to give recognition to the best foods from all over the world. Products come from 106 countries and the judges taste them over a three month period.

The judges are made up of more than 500 experts including chefs, food buyers, critics and retailers and there are around 12,777 products that are contending to win a one, two, or three star award. The stars each have their own meaning, one star - simply delicious, two stars - outstanding, three stars - exquisite.
