Hungary to send medical equipment to Ukraine

The shipment of equipment for surgical procedures will be delivered at the Záhony border crossing to Ukrainian officials, who will then transport it further inland.

State Secretary Csaba Latorcai said Hungary is sending a shipment of medical equipment worth tens of millions of forints to the Ukrainian health ministry as part of the European Union’s relief effort. The state secretary said the shipment of equipment for surgical procedures will be delivered at the Záhony border crossing to Ukrainian officials, who will then transport it further inland. Meanwhile, Hungary’s government has extended the country’s health care to Ukrainian refugees, who will have access to treatment and medicines through the Hungarian national healthcare provider, he said.
