János Bóka: Brussels stages an off-site pro-war demonstration in Lviv

The informal meeting of EU ministers for European affairs is being held on Wednesday in Lviv, with the Danish presidency intending to showcase support for Ukraine’s EU accession and increase political pressure on member states that “still rely on facts and common sense,” Minister for EU Affairs János Bóka said in a statement posted on Facebook.

According to Minister Bóka, the gathering is “another theatrical performance of the pro-war elite in Brussels, a political show.” He stated that he would not attend the meeting.

“Hungary consistently maintains that we do not support Ukraine’s EU membership and will not agree to sending Hungarian taxpayers’ money to Ukraine,” he wrote.

The minister emphasized that peace alone can serve Europe’s future, adding that “we will continue to amplify the voice of peace in Europe.”
