A collection of works by Pablo Picasso will go on display at Esterházy Castle, Pápa.
The exhibition will include over one hundred graphics and book illustrations and will reflect on the lesser known parts of his work.
His illustrations for Jean Cocteau and Tristan Tzara’s poems will also be shown, plus pieces from Picasso’s own volume: Toros y Toreros.
Thomas Emmerling, an art collector from Nürnberg and owner of the exhibition, believes Picasso’s works are sometimes abstract, sometimes cubistic, occasionally lyrical, but they all depict cynicism, characteristic of the artist himself.
The Que viva Picasso (Long live Picasso) exhibition is open until October 31st, 2018.
