Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has highlighted how the government is working with all efforts to secure enough vaccines and properly distribute them to places where people can get them.
In response to questions in Parliament on Monday, PM Orbán stressed that Hungary is dealing with this day after day; such logistical operations are almost never carried out in a country with the exception of wartime, he added.
The prime minister said that thanks to the police, the loaders working in factories and warehouses, the administrators and the doctors, this “semi-war” logistics operation is successful by European standards, adding that it is only the vaccine that helps against the virus.
PM Orbán also stated that the mortality rate in Hungary is below the EU average. “Hungary is in ninth place from the back in the middle of Europe, so it is in midfield,” he said.
