Tímea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic have won the women’s doubles title at the French Open 2019 tennis championships.
The Hungarian helped her partner defeat their Chinese opponents in straight sets, beating Duan Ying-Ying and Saisai Zheng 6:2 6:3.
This is Babos’ 22nd tournament victory in doubles and her second Grand Slam title. She is also the first Hungarian female player to win two Grand Slam titles on the pro circuit.
“Congratulations to the opponents, and thanks to Kiki for her partnership and friendship. Every day we play together seems like playing in the finals,” Babos said after the match.
