PM Orbán said in a letter that Duray was not afraid to raise his voice in the interest of ethnic Hungarians even when this led to prison and hardship.
The Hungarian, Czech and Polish premiers and their spouses had all been invited by Slovak Prime Minister Eduard Heger to the event held at the Slovak National Theatre.

Tamás Menczer said much work has been done to continually develop cooperation between Hungary and Slovakia to the benefit of both countries.

The foreign minister said the strong presence of Hungarians in the Slovak parliament is expected to contribute towards strengthening that cooperation.
Following talks with Slovak PM Eduard Heger earlier today, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán highlighted that while Slovakia is our third-biggest trade partner, we also share common views on EU enlargement, migration, economic affairs and the V4 cooperation.
The decision was made after intensive talks with Slovak officials, ensuring that “families, friends and communities can get together once again”.
The decision to merge three Hungarian parties has brought the local Hungarian community “closer to unified representation”.
The foreign minister said good neighborly relations are being properly practised by both countries, with a focus on what binds rather than separates them.
